DizzyData is looking for an energetic and experienced back-end developer (3+ years) who is interested in joining its international team (location Barcelona). DizzyData is a fast growing company specialising in online software for document- and data processing. Among our clients are large accountancy firms, international businesses like McDonald’s and Domino’s as well as several dutch governmental organisations.

DizzyData is part of The Yuki Company which has offices in Spain, Belgium and The Netherlands. You will be joining the new DizzyData development team located at the Barcelona offices.


Responsibilities
You can work on various disciplines based on your talents and interests, such as:

  • Implementing new features and functionalities into our products (e.g. API’s, document recognition engine, data interfaces with external parties, et cetera);
  • Optimizing and refactoring the existing code bases;
  • Researching new technologies and solutions (e.g. currently we’re researching, Tensorflow and related ML technologies).

Required technical skills/experience

  • .NET: C#, Linq, (de)serialization, Webapi;
  • Regex;
  • Multithreading (thread-safety);
  • oAuth;
  • (RESTful) API’s;
  • Up to date knowledge and awareness of the current .NET eco system;
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL (MS SQL Server);
  • Knowledge of software best practices (e.g. programming patterns);
  • Awareness of security implications (e.g. OWASP top 10).

Useful additional technical skills/experience

  • Knowledge about refactoring patterns;
  • Amazon Webservices;
  • Experience with message queues;
  • Experience with Unit testing.

Personal skills
You will be working on projects together with developers in Spain and The Netherlands, as well as with colleagues from other disciplines in The Netherlands. Therefore, the following personal skills are required:

  • Being able to work independently;
  • Being able to work in a virtual team using online collaboration tools;
  • Showing initiative and coming up with creative solutions;
  • Strong analytical and issue resolution skills;
  • Strong collaborative skills.
